Gastric Cancer

Patient History: a 47-year-old man with recently diagnosed adenocarcinoma of the gastro-esophageal junction.

PET Findings: PET scan demonstrates numerous foci of abnormal FDG uptake consistent with metastatic disease in the right and left axilla, mediastinal region, hilarregion, liver, and lumbar spine.

Many of the lesions seen on the PET scan are not visualized on the patients recen CT scan.
